The River Dell Golden Hawks Varsity Softball Team’s winning streak reached six games after a 10-0 victory over Westwood in five innings at River Dell High School in Oradell, New Jersey.
River Dell’s offense erupted in the second inning, tallying eight runs. Thirteen Golden Hawks players ended up batting in the inning, highlighted by RBI singles from Julia Marcus and Norah Cerna. Helena Marcus drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single.
In the fourth inning, River Dell padded their margin with two additional runs, with Julia Marcus driving in her second RBI of the game on a single.
Golden Hawks starting pitcher Leandra Gilmartin continued her impressive form, hurling another gem by tossing a complete game shutout yielding five hits. Her individual performance was a testament to her skill and dedication.
